this is a national emergency and we have to seriously ask ourselves why britain, with currently around 117,000 total deaths, is falling behind other nations in this global crusade against covid? yes, the virus is highly transmissible, but comparatively similar and even lower-income nations have handled the crisis better than britain thus far. so... what's the reason for britain taking centre stage as the covid capital of europe? and how did we get here? let's deconstruct....

in light of recent events, regarding social media cancel culture, we discuss the effects of misinformation and whether democracy is at risk when social media intervenes to prevent its spread. are we placing too much power in the hands of zuckerberg and co.? and could this unchecked power have ramifying effects?
