Hosted by John Marsh and his CoHost Ty Maloney, each episode gives you a window into flourishing communities and the people who help ignite them. Every episode examines the stories and strategies of what is and isn’t working for those who are actively investing their time, talents and resources in restoring and revitalizing their communities. Listeners will have front row seats to miracles as they engage with leaders who are making a generational difference in cities across the world.
The word redemptification was coined by the Marsh Collective in response to fears surrounding gentrification in the communities they help steward. Revitalization in a community does not occur without gentrification. The word gentrification and the overall perception of developers brings all kinds of negative emotions and connotations from the outside, but is this God’s view? Feeling the need to start a new vocabulary around the work of resurrecting a place, the word redemptification is defined by the Marsh Collective as the creative work of renewing a place to its intended beauty and glory.
People are not whole without place. Broken places can be redeemed through faith-motivated patrons who will take on their community’s needs with thoughtfulness and collective wisdom. Jeremiah 29:11 can be applied to a community. Meaning that when a place was formed, it was formed with its highest intention in mind. These conversations are tailored to emerging leaders who want to develop a vision and learn practical tools for the redemptification of their communities.
