A Closer Look at Thomas: We often give Thomas a bad reputation as the doubting disciple. But, we often fail to see the ways in which Thomas appears to be the modern-day disciple's shoes. Was his request to see and touch Jesus unreasonable? And, how do we deal our own desire for physical proof of Jesus?

James tells us to "consider it all joy..." when we face difficulties in life. But, this is a little more than a platitude. It's more than simply telling people to smile when they're struggling. Come with me as I wrestle with James chapter 1 in this sermon. 

Allica and I recap Luke Chapters 3-8. We talk about the calling of the first disciples, women's roles in Jesus' ministry, and why were pigs cast into the sea to drown? This is part of our Luke Challenge: a challenge to read one chapter of the Gospel of Luke per day in the month of December. The goal is to have read the Gospel of Luke by Christmas day (Luke is 24 chapters in length).
