The power of a voice can inspire a revolutionary mind. I sit down with Kason Little, who at just 21 years old has run for city council & Commissioner of the Board of Education in Elizabeth, NJ. With families ties to Malcolm X, Kason goes about his life with love and abolition at the forefront.

Growing up with Bodegas on every corner, Evelyn Brito saw the value these “corner stores” had in our communities. This led the filmmaker to create the web series “Bodega Makeover”, to bring store improvements and healthy eating options to communities around the nation.

All through the lens of his camera, Julian Leshay has been a part of history within the Black Lives Matter Movement- from small suburban towns in New Jersey, to the streets of New York City and Washington D.C. We discuss some of his most memorable moments, his love for the art, and the importance of capturing moments through these historic times.
