The original Search Wars in the late ‘90s saw one player emerge victorious. But almost three decades later, there’s a lot of unrest in the new Search Wars. From the “AI-ification” of search to the impact of upstart, privacy-focused search engines, new battles have emerged in an effort to make search less monolithic and more democratic.
