Episode 8 Turning Dreams Into Reality

In this episode we are interviewing our second guest of the podcast and welcome mr Sean Hughes onto the show!   Sean is a resident DJ's for the global brand Cream and more recently has spent the last few seasons in Ibiza playing at the mighty Ushuaia Beach Club.
From our perspective standing in front of 15,000 people and banging it out on the Creamfields main stage pretty much speaks for itself sucess wise !
The topic of the interview was how to turn your dream into reality.  We won't give away too much in these show notes but Sean's experienced some pretty humbling experiences on his journey  For us the message was clear,  your belief to attain the goal must be strong,  you must be willing to do whatever it takes to overcome the inevitable obstacles that WILL present themselves.
A great message for anyone whos getting to the top of your game is to remain humble and help others, the best way to help you achieve your dreams is to assist other with theirs.   Full shownotes and Blog over on Medium & Your Business Monster.com website
You can catch Sean this summer back out in Ibiza Playing at Cream & Ushuaia as well as some up and coming projects we will keep you posted on !

    Episode 7 - Monster Strategy

    Episode 7 - Monster Strategy

In this episode we discuss how to make your social campaigns more efficient using the IF app, using Pinterest to find the best fit for our Social enterprise business plan &  howe we used it to start to create our strategy.IF APPAs a new or existing business owner it's essential that part of your marketing strategy optimises your online presence,  IF app enables you to create your content on a native platform, for example instagram, this will replicate the post in other social sites like Linkedin, Facebook & Twitter.    The combination of social sites you decide to post to is referred to as recipies within the app.   Outside of these key functions we have not explored any other features but feel free to join the discussion on our Facebook, Medium, iTunes or head over to the YBM website.Your Business Monster is now at the business planning stage, deciding that a social enterprise would be the most suitable model due to our end goals.   This  decision provided the basis for our search.   Mike suggested Pinterest was a good place to source our information and i'll admit being a Pinterest virgin I thought it was for soft furnishings and candle gardens !   Im now informed that beneath the images of pretty much everything, lies web links and endless information for whatever you need to reference.
Finally we hit upon a format that looked like the best fit for the project, content was submitted by Dave Lavinski who is a serial entrepreneur and contributor for Forbes.  Surprisingly his book “start at the end”  bears a startling resemblance to the methods we have used to get to this point by reverse engineering the plan, and taking the action steps toward achieving the end goal !The Your Business Monster executive summary was really easy to write, the end goal is clearly defined and we visualise the project adding value and solving problems across a wide range of businesses by simply providing good content and an online community. We brought the summary to life by demonstrating sustainability, scalability and sharing key unique success factors. We have since applied (SSE) School for Social Entrepreneurs to source funding for Your Business Monster. Feel free to comment on our socials using the hyperlinks on this page

    Episode 6 - Taking Stock

    Episode 6 - Taking Stock

Episode 6 - Taking stock & reframing your goals
We are 7 weeks into the Your Business Monster project,  the idea started off the back of a 2 hour phone call initiated by Mike around Christmas 2015.  The concept was pretty vague and we agreed to meet up on new year's eve to discuss further. We have both hit a point in our careers where personal development and helping others attain their goals  was massively important to us.
Now we are at this stage of the Your Business Monster Project we thought it was important take stock and reframe our goals.  By reframing you prepare the mind for the task you want to achive, visualising the end result and the steps you need to take to get there.    I find it best to attach deadlines to tasks this gives me a sense of urgency around things
The initial concept was to interview business’s and share any trends in behaviour & techniques used for development.  Alongside this we decided that we would start a business from scratch, but still not sure what that business would be at this point.  Since the start of this process we have secured all of the online channels for the YBM project, this includes web, social media, Itunes & a blog.   Episode 5 we had our first interview and realised quickly that a a format was needed to give the show a professional image.

    Standard intro with backing music
    introdustion
    tip of the day
    interview
    summary
    social links
    thought for the day

After speaking with Chris Cashin on the last episode we have decided that we will postpone the launch until we have made some teaser video content and recorded episode 6 on camera.   Ultimately we want to push YBM on all social media and use each platform to its fullest.   We are now at the stage where a business plan is needed, this will include a workflow & over the next month we aim to, nail down a format for the show, add intros, create teaser videos and start to engage with our community.    Thought for the day:  Stop Procrastinating ... use the time you have to the fullest and maximise your results !
Please feel free to connect on our social media platforms and join the discussion.

    EPISODE 3 - A LONG DAY

    EPISODE 3 - A LONG DAY

    Snippet Podcast 1 – A long day

Every so often we are going to produce small snippet podcast on what we are doing and how we are doing it. Here’s our first one, we are tired, not ‘with it’ and I think overwhelmed by everything we need to do… this I think its shows in our voices.

We had both early starts from 5am, worked all day in our jobs, still trained, fixed a faulty boiler and checked in with loved ones. Had our heads in word press website, plug-in’s and php code right up until the time of recording.

Now I’m not telling you this to make excuses or say how hard of a day we had but simply telling you what we need to do to get this thing off the ground at the rate we want/need it to.

We will delve into detail about each of the points we talk about in this audio snippet so follow us on medium to get this content.

Our next snippet will be up in a few days as we delve into the world of instagram, launch our facebook page and create some info graphics.
