It’s […]

Commentary #22: A Discussion on Abolition vs. Regulation with Robert Garner

Dear Colleagues: My most recent book, The Animal Rights Debate: Abolition or Regulation?, involves a debate between me and Professor Robert Garner of the University of Leicester. I have avoided debate, and even small talk, with omnivores about my vegetarian and afterwards vegan choice for some years because I didn't want to bother with the pain of answering the same questions each and every time. And because I was not comfortable enough with my choice too, so I would get angry at people. Maybe Gary Francione and his commentaries are changing that. Non violence is the way. The only way.
