In this episode, I speak with Nandhini Gopal, co-founder of Femcy, a menstrual wellness app. Femcy offers personalised, comprehensive lifestyle management guidance for menstruators, based on their symptoms and menstrual phase, as well as on-demand teleconsultation with menstrual health experts.  The Femcy app helps improve the monthly menstrual issues that 70-80% of women experience, such as PMS, cramps and bloating, and can aid in boosting fertility for women planning a pregnancy.  As quoted from Nandhini, menstrual cramps and pains are "common, not normal".

In this episode, I speak with Umeera Maan, co-founder of YIN - a femtech DTC birth control subscription, launched in Singapore and Malaysia in just 4 months of inception. She tells me that YIN spent a month in preparation (the team already had experience in telehealth in Australia).   She says that though the scene is competitive in Singapore, the first market where YIN launched, the company is not snatching for customer acquisition, rather forging a bond with their customers and nurturing that trust between consumer and brand.

In this episode, I speak with Peter Macquart-Moulin from Yesmom in Thailand. Yesmom makes health and fertility information more accessible to women with affordable, at-home, user-friendly hormone blood test kits with personalised digital results. By bringing a wide-range of validated laboratory tests directly to consumers in Asia the company aims to empower individuals and promote proactive healthcare.  When Peter and his co-founder first pitched Yesmom 4, almost 5 years ago, the word femtech was not even in the Asia market investor vocabulary!

To date, there are more than 350,000 users, in Thailand alone, on Yesmom, and the company has expanded to India in 2020.  Yesmom has plans to conquer other Asian countries this year, perhaps starting with Singapore!
