Hi, I’m Pascale Gibon.  Welcome to episode 274 of The Everyday Life Balance Show. Thank you for tuning in.
The series on ways to develop the power of your mind to transform your life continues. I have covered so far the mental faculty of imagination and reason. And in this part three, I will introduce the third mental faculty to transform your life and accomplish your goals: perception.
Perception is a mental faculty that gives you mental strength.
It is the way you view things.
Imagine that you face a difficulty and fail to see how to solve it. When you develop your perception, you can transform your results because you choose to view things differently. As a result, this could mean seeking help or looking at the difficulty from a different angle to experience a breakthrough.
This idea aligns with Albert Einstein's quote that you can not solve a problem with the same level of thinking that created it in the first place.
Therefore developing the mental faculty of perception allows you to view things differently.
How do you operate when you face a challenge? Do you remain stuck? Or do you broaden your mind to other possibilities? Perception allows you to open your mind to a larger field of growth opportunities.
Let us look at a quote by Wayne Dyer: "When you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change."
This quote implies that to create transformation, change your habitual way of thinking that does not give you desired results, and progress, it is necessary to change the way you view the situation.
Perception gives you a positive outlook and opens the door to new possibilities.
I suggest you do not ignore this mental faculty and use it as often as possible whenever you feel stuck in your life.
It builds mental strength because it allows you to keep moving forward.
In professional sports, the mental faculty of perception is highly used. Professional athletes, for example, are committed to breaking their records.
The ego will try to persuade us that some ambitions are impossible to realise. However, when we look at all outstanding achievements like breaking records, impossible means I am possible.
Would you agree that to transform their results and break records, professional athletes view things differently? They undoubtedly operate from a different perception, that of limitless possibilities.
The mental faculty of perception is a life changer.
