Preparing for Game 5 versus the Kings

Preparing for Game 5 versus the Kings

The Edmonton Oilers return home tonight for a Game 5 match up versus the Los Angeles Kings. The Oilers went on the road over the weekend and brought back two wins to take a 3-1 series lead. A win tonight sees them through to the second round for the third year in a row to take on either the Vancouver Canucks or Nashville Predators.
Heading into Game 5, it looks like head coach Kris Knoblauch has made some adjustments to his lineup. Dylan Holloway has been elevated to the third line after another strong performance in Game 4. Meanwhile, Warren Foegele, who has struggled to find his game in the series so far, found himself on the fourth line at practice yesterday alongside Mattias Janmark and Derek Ryan. Everything else looks to be staying the same.
What do you make of the lineup changes? Tyler Yaremchuk and Liam Horrobin will take a look at them along with everything else to get you prepared for tonight's Game 5 action. Want your thoughts on the show? Leave your questions, comments and concerns in the Charm Diamond Centres YouTube live chat throughout the show. Also, Jay Downton is on today's program for a Sherwood Ford GIANT Pre Game Show edition of Oilersnation Everyday.
Later in the show, former Edmonton Oiler and NHLer Jason Demers joins Tyler, Liam and Jay. Demers will give his thoughts on the Oilers performances in Games 3 and 4, which was almost the complete opposite of each other. Additionally, they'll get his predictions on what goes down tonight at Rogers Place.

The Oilers take Game 4 on the road versus the Kings

The Edmonton Oilers shutout the Los Angeles Kings last night 1-0 in Game 4 to take a 3-1 series lead. Evan Bouchard scored the lone goal of the game, which came on the powerplay in the second period. That's all the Oilers needed offensively with Stuart Skinner playing rock solid between the pipes, stopping all 33 shots he faced for his first career postseason shutout.
What did you think of last nights game? Tyler Yaremchuk and Liam Horrobin go live for Oilersnation Everyday at noon only on the Oilersnation YouTube channel. Want your opinions on the show? Leave your questions, comments and concerns in the Charm Diamond Centres YouTube live chat. Tyler and Liam are joined by Baggedmilk on the show too, as the three of them break down everything that happened inside Crypto.com Arena last night.
Later in the program, Bruce Curlock from Oilersnation joins the show. With Bruce, they'll break down everything that happened from a tactical perspective from Games 3 and 4. Additionally, they will ask him about the Bakersfield Condors who's season came to an end over the weekend.
Also, Tyler and Liam will get the LA Kings side of the story too from beat reporter Scott Burnside. Scott will give his perspective on what happened over the weekend, the decision to play David Rittich over Cam Talbot and how the Kings can extend the series.

Live from LA for Game 4 of Oilers versus Kings

Live from LA for Game 4 of Oilers versus Kings

The Edmonton Oilers took care of business with ease on Friday night. With goals from Connor McDavid, Evander Kane, Leon Draisaitl and Zach Hyman, twice, the Oilers came away with a 6-1 victory over the Los Angeles Kings. The win helped them regain the series lead after dropping Game 2 in overtime on Wednesday at Rogers Place.
Tonight, Edmonton looks to take a stranglehold on the series. The puck drops around 8:30 p.m mountain time for Game 4 down at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles. While there aren't many question marks surrounding the Oilers lineup, many are wondering what the Kings do heading into tonight. The Oilers have now scored four or more goals on Cam Talbot in every game so is it time LA switch the David Rittich?
Tyler Yaremchuk and Liam Horrobin will discuss that and more on Oilersnation Everyday live at noon on the Oilersnation YouTube channel. Want your thoughts on the show? Leave your questions, comments and concerns in the Charm Diamond Centres YouTube live chat throughout the program. Also, Jay Downton joins the show for a Sherwood Ford GIANT Pre Game Show edition live from the City of Angels.
On the show, the guys will go through everything to get you prepared for Game 4 of this first round series. Over the past couple of years when these two have faced each other in the playoffs, neither team has helped a 3-1 lead over the other. Does that change tonight? If so, what do the Oilers need to achieve a win? They'll get into that and more on Oilersnation Everyday.

Live from LA for Game 3 of Oilers versus Kings

Live from LA for Game 3 of Oilers versus Kings

The Edmonton Oilers and Los Angeles Kings are tied up at one piece with game three on the horizon. The Kings took game two in what was a disappointing game for the Oilers. Edmonton spotted LA a 3-1 lead after 20 minutes and, despite forcing the game to overtime, the Kings came away with a 5-4 victory.
How will the Oilers change things tonight? Last game, it was the Adrien Kempe-Anze Kopitar-Quinton Byfied trio that dominated the Oilers. They scored three of the five goals, including the overtime winner. A major key to victory is finding a way to shutdown that trio. Additionally, will the Oilers stars show up line in game three? The video game mode aspect of Connor McDavid's game showed up on Monday but couldn't find that same groove on Wednesday.
Tyler Yaremchuk and Liam Horrobin are boots on the ground in Los Angeles for game three. They will go live at noon for Oilersnation Everyday over on the Oilersnation YouTube channel. Jay Downton also joins Tyler and Liam which means today's edition of Oilersnation Everyday is a Sherwood Ford GIANT Pre Game Show edition of Oilersnation Everyday.
Later in the program, Zach Laing from Oilersnation joins the guys for The Notebook in the back half of the show. With Zach, they will chat about everything ahead of game three tonight and get his thoughts on what needs to change from game two. Also, the three of them will go around the NHL.
