Funny but self-defeating
I will be the first in line to listen to these five funny hosts talking together, and their hearts are certainly in the right place, but it seems to me that the only way to get people to take the writers’ strike seriously is to stop providing new content.
I spent an hour this morning listening to this podcast, and tonight I will watch an old movie (and, of course, there’s always Youtube) - thus all my entertainment needs for the day will have been satisfied without anyone needing to write anything new.
Don’t want to sound catastrophic, but this podcast could herald the end of late night talk shows. Why produce a costly, large-staffed t.v. show when simply recording these guys on a zoom session is exactly as satisfying?
