027: a new way to be with David Cruz Spiritual Twenties

    • Self-Improvement

This may be my favorite episode yet. Living a spiritual life does not have to look like you becoming a monk in the Himalayas, wearing crystals, abandoning your corporate career, or whatever stereotypes you had in mind. The old paradigm might have been that you either are "super spiritual" and you lock yourself away and dedicate your life to God OR you crush it in your business, drive a Tesla, wear Lululemon, and pick up girls at bars...but not anymore. My friend, fellow Aubrey Marcus' Fit For Service Fellowship member, David Cruz is the perfect example of this.

Living a spiritual life means tapping into your true self, your soul, your inner knowing, and aligning everything you do with that. You were created perfectly unique, so that means you get to be something that's never been done before. You don't have to fit into a box so that people understand you- your only job is to be your soul's highest and most expressed version of yourself, and only you can know what that looks like. In this episode, David and I talk about achiever mentality, realizing external validation will never make you truly fulfilled, identity crisis, and so much more.

David read us a poem from Matthew McConaughey's new book "Greenlights". If you're like me and have been procrastinating downloading Audible, now is the time to do it. Head over to www.audibletrial.com/spiritualtwenties, create an account, and you will have a FREE credit to download Matthew McConaughey's "Greenlights", Aubrey Marcus' "Own the Day, Own Your Life" or whatever book you know you have to read, but have been putting off.

David Cruz is a certified financial planner, born and raised in Tampa, Florida, where he runs the 5AM Club Community. David is that successful, Lulu-wearing, Tesla driving, physical specimen that has ladies cranking their heads at the bar (he's gonna kill me for that line). But you'll also find him at 5AM leading meditation and breath work sessions, writing in his journal, and diving deep in meaningful conversation about soul and life. He is the perfect example for what it means to create your own spiritually-aligned life. You can connect with him on Instagram @David.cruz_ and check out the 5AM Club @5amclubfl.
