This podcast actually stems from a time in my life when I was struggling and I kept asking my mom for advice. "Tell me your secrets!" I'd say. "I want to know." She would keep telling me I wasn't in the right frame of mind to hear it yet and kept putting me off and putting me off. Well, what does that do to anyone? It sparks their curiosity and makes them want to know....NOW!!!

So when I made her tell me it started off with the phrase, "You're not going to want to hear this." Ha ha. That's not the most fun thing to hear before someone proceeds to offer advice. But, it was very simple y'all and you probably need to hear it, too.

On the back end of the podcast, I talk a little bit about what real self-care is and what it isn't. Interesting that the tough message from my mom is actually what proves to care for the self THE VERY BEST!
