#75: With Hannah Mouncey - on fighting for acceptance as a trans athlete Strong Habits - The Podcast

    • Health & Fitness

I spoke with Hannah Mouncey, a trans handball and Australian football player who has played for both the men's and women's teams.

Hannah played for the men's football team for four years, competing at the 2013 world championships and narrowly missing out on qualifying for the 2016 Olympics. In 2018, she was named Victorian LGBT Sportsperson of the Year.

There are not many athletes out there able to give insight into playing for the men's and women's teams, so it was really interesting to sit down with Hannah (over the internet) and talk about that experience.

You can find Hannah on Twitter: @HannahMouncey
