Rachel Thomson on the impact of Pan Together
In this edition of Adventures of Wight, Ben talks to the lovely Rachel Thomson about the charity Pan Together.
Pan Together is a small local charity which exists to support and provide a community hub for the residents of East Newport, Isle of Wight. In this podcast Rachel talks about the impact that the charity has on people's lives. The centre is at the heart of Pan in East Newport, which – according to September 2019’s Indices of Deprivation – is the most disadvantaged area on the Isle of Wight and ranked at 5.8% in England’s most deprived neighbourhoods.

Richard Quigley on standing in the 2019 General Election
Imagine putting yourself up for selection for one of the most important jobs on the Isle of Wight. Now imagine doing this while you are running two successful businesses, have a busy family life, and you're already a councillor on the Isle of Wight. That's exactly what Richard Quigley, my guest on episode 3 of Adventures of Wight, did in 2019. Richard stood for the Labour party in the general election, eventually coming second.
In this episode, we chat about that experience and what his plans are for the next general election.
