One podcast to rule them all!
Started listening a couple of years ago, as the guys were coming to the end of The Two Towers. It didn’t take me long to catch up. I was reading Lotr for the first time in ages, and there was so much that I missed from when I read it through a child’s eyes that I wanted more. So I looked for a podcast and stubbled across these guys, and I genuinely feel like Ez and Lane are friends. Their enthusiasm is so infectious and they’ve taken things to another level again with the recent Rings of Power episodes. Keep it up fellas!! 💪🏻
So-so
First of all - the two hosts are clearly lovely guys and good friends. I’ve enjoyed listening to them re-reading the chapters in these amazing books, especially as im reading LOTR again myself.
However, for my liking theres way too much waffle at the beginning of each episode. Sometimes it takes half an hour before we get to the meat of each instalment. Certainly don’t need to hear about the Amazon abomination. Tolkein must be rolling in his grave.
So, not bad at all, but i skip the start of each instalment which makes for fairly short episodes.
Genuine and full of fun!
Lane and Ezra are such a joy to listen to and have had me laughing out loud and with tears in my eyes more times than I can remember! It really does feel like we're all a group of hobbits sitting by the fire in The Green Dragon, sharing stories and just having a good time! Thank you so much for the amazing podcast and for the time and dedication you've poured in since day one! Keep it up guys!! 😄
