E300 Bougie Ghost Hunting and Wafts of Fog Friends

It’s here, it’s happening, it’s our 300th! We can’t believe we’ve been here for 300 years, we mean episodes. We wanted to do something special to celebrate and since we’ve covered the Winchester Mystery House twice, once at the beginning of the podcast and once for the 200th episode, we thought, why not go record there in person this time! So today we’re coming to ya from Sarah Winchester’s carriage house and talking all things ghost and paranormal equipment. First Em gives us a rundown on how each item works and then Christine dives into the recesses of our gmail to find listener stories and creepy EVPs from times you’ve used each item Em talks about. Be sure to check out our incredible tour of the Winchester Mystery House (jump scares and all) on Patreon. And as we always say, all roads lead to Boo Buddy, but that’s for another day… and that’s why we drink!

Brilliant

I've been listening to ATWWD for a long time now. I love the format of both paranormal stories and true crime. They are both so relatable, and I love their openness with their various struggles. Thank you for being an open book to mental health. You've made me a lot more confident in discussing mine.

the only feedback I can give is to stop apologising that the stories are long. I love it! It shows you've really done the research!

I scream in my colleagues faces a lot after this podcast

After binge watching 11 seasons and 2 movies of The X-Files in two and a half weeks I got to talking to my colleagues about cryptids and how I loved watching all the crazy shows about them on the documentary channels. That’s when one of my colleagues, Sara, told me that I should listen to ATWWD seen as she knew I loved podcasts and listened to a true crime podcast. She told me it was the perfect mix of paranormal and true crime and that I would love it. What she failed to remember is that I had told her on several occasions that I am a massive wimp. Imagine Scooby-Doo in human form, well I guess that’s Shaggy, I am the female Shaggy. I can’t handle scary films. I might watch Finding Bigfoot and the Curse of Skinwalker Ranch but you’ll never catch me sitting down to The Conjuring. Anyway, it’s been almost a year now and I’ve kept on listening(out of order because that seems to annoy you both and I’m a menace to society). At first it was during my night shifts at a poorly lit hotel (bad idea) but now I’m on dayshift and it’s still a bad idea. I keep screaming in the faces of my colleagues when they appear out of nowhere and now I’m pretty sure they think I’m insane. Anyway, I’ve given this podcast 5 stars because I’m pretty sure the intent of it was to scare people to death and it has worked a treat on me. Still, I put myself through the trauma because the banter between Em and Christine is sublime and really I just want to believe in the paranormal. So much so that I went on my second Ghost Tour in the Edinburgh Vaults last week but sadly (thankfully) I still didn’t see any ghosts. At least I have the ghosts in this podcast to keep me up at night. Thank you both for the entertainment and I’ll invoice you the bill for the therapy I will most certainly need after listening to this podcast.
