15 years ago chef Claudia Lawrence went missing. Multiple men have been arrested - then released. Several lakes near her home were emptied in the search for her body. Claudia has never been found. Now her mother has asked for help.
Tom McDermott is the journalist who 80 year old Joan Lawrence asked to help her, saying this might be her last chance for answers. Tom has spent the past year immersed in Claudia’s friendship group, speaking to people in Malton and Heworth where Claudia and her family lived, but something isn’t right - even now people are frightened. Why?

Why charge for your quest to find the truth?!
I liked the first episode, but not paying wordery to listen to a true crime podcast.
The guy says the aim of the podcast is to get the truth for claudia, well apparently it's to rinse people for money 😂
Thought Provoking True Crime
A very well investigated and sensitively reported piece of journalism. This case seems to be very solvable and the podcast raises a lot of insightful questions around victim profiling, the impact on those in the orbit of a murder investigation and the online sleuth community. It was also sad (but not surprising) to hear the lack of progress in 2009 of the victim narrative of the Yorkshire Police force since the killing spree of PS in the 1970s. It was uplifting to hear the work they have done recently though, it is a shame they have not accepted the invitation to participate in the podcast. Really hope to hear updates from this podcast soon.

Why do people not read things or listen properly ? ! I’m referring to other people’s reviews.
This just proves what has been happening throughout the 15 years Claudia has been missing. How facts can end up being turned into fiction and vice versa. You can listen to these excellent thought provoking podcasts for free if you subscribe and cancel your subscription before your free 7 days are up, no money required.
It’s left me intrigued and I hope Tom can substantiate the leads he’s recently received and and we can all look forward to hearing his conclusions in a later series. Let’s all truly hope that by the end of this year or next we have the truth behind Claudia’s disappearance so her family & friends can stop living in this nightmare and allow Claudia to eventually rest in peace.
