Ashling Murphy: "I'm the murderer‪"‬ The Trial

    • True Crime

In this first episode of The Trial, Ashling Murphy,  Caroline and Nicola discuss the opening statement of prosecuting counsel Anne Marie Lawlor who outlined the State’s case against Jozef Puska, and how two days after her death, he confessed, telling detectives “I’m the murderer”.
The jury was also told there was just a 1 in 14,000 chance that DNA found under the fingernails of Ashling didn’t belong to Puska and that extensive CCTV evidence taken on the day of the murder saw him trailing two other women on his bicycle.
