Wow great podcast. Hope the powers that be continue to help her.
One sided and lazy

Done well in parts, especially the look at the Ashcroft legacy, but there was literally no investigation in to the crime at the centre of the whole thing. Mr Dean just takes the accused at her word and then allows her to tell her story, mostly unchallenged. I’m left with so many unanswered questions e.g., how did this “accident” actually happen? Why did her stories change? Who else could have wanted the victim dead? Could have been a lot better. Also lacked compassion for the deceased throughout.

I find this story incredibly interesting and well told, but am unsettled by how little it focuses on the fact that a man lost his life in all of this, and is more sympathetic to the woman involved rather than the victim. I kept waiting for more compassion for the victim and his family, especially when speaking about the details of what happened in a later episode, but that never came. It’s very upsetting what’s happening to Jasmine but even more so what happened to Henry. I expected more, especially given the whiteness of the journalist and main focus, jasmine.
Much more than I was expecting!

I hadn’t appreciated the depth and breadth this series was going to cover when I started to listen. So interesting. Michael Ashcroft … what a revelation! Extraordinary story well told.
