Be Fairy Afraid Podcast - Bringing laughter to the darkest of fairy tales.
Welcome to "Be Fairy Afraid", the podcast which invites you on a rib-tickling escapade through the realms of fairy tales, folklore, myths, and legends. Hosted by two award-winning comedians, Louise Atkinson and Fiona Ridgewell, this podcast is a quirky blend of skepticism and quirky enthusiasm – imagine two mates dissecting the Brothers Grimm over a pint while debating the finer points of biscuit choices and Yorkshire pudding wrap recipes.
Meet the hosts: Louise Atkinson, the resident skeptic who's convinced that anyone who thinks anyone who claims to be feeling energized by a spiritual energy is actually just struggling with trapped wind, and Fiona Ridgewell, whose fervent belief in all things mystical is inexplicably tied to the phases of the moon (or maybe she's had too many Red Bull's that day).
Together, this unlikely duo navigates the enchanted landscape of fairy tales through a comedic lens. From unraveling the dark origins of classic tales to pondering whether trolls prefer Custard Creams or Hobnobs, no stone is left unturned. You'll laugh, you'll learn, and you might just start investigating how you can conjure up your own fairy godmother.
For those who seek magic and a generous sprinkling of absurdity in their podcast adventures, this is the show that promises to leave you simultaneously scratching your head and clutching your sides with laughter. Embrace the fantastical, but beware – you may find yourself "fairy" afraid of everything magical, or equally scared of the bad character voices attempted in each episode, either way, excuse to have a bit of a laugh.

Making the darkest of fairytales hilarious!

Saw Fiona perform at a comedy club a few weeks ago and she was brilliant. So I came across this podcast as saw she was part of it and I really love it. Such a great concept and both Fiona and Louise are hilarious. Hope they continue to do more. Interesting and funny, have already recommended to loads of people. Thank you for making my journeys to work entertaining.
