11: The Reality of PMDD - Premenstrual Dysphoric Disorder with Josephine Knechtli, Rapid Transformational Therapist + Coach
This episode was such an exciting one to make! I had the most beautiful, funny, honest, raw and open conversation with someone who is a huge inspiration to me - the amazing Josephine Knechtli!
Josephine is a Rapid Transformational Therapist and Coach, who has been on her own rollercoaster journey with acute mental health, PMDD, late diagnosed Autism and ADHD.
We talk about everything from labels and low self-esteem to hypnotherapy, menstrual cycles, the nervous system - and SO much more!
I did RTT with Josephine in 2023 and I was completely blown away by the results! I credit the work Josephine and I did together as playing a huge part in radically changing my life for the better and I truly believe it has the potential to do the same for other people.
If you’ve experienced PMDD, poor mental and emotional health, hit rock bottom or you’re feeling lost and don’t know where to go next - this is the podcast episode for you! 10: The Magic and Poison of Growing Up in an All Girls' School
In today's episode, I share an article I wrote back in the summer titled 'The Worst Witch: The Magic and Poison of Growing Up in an All Girls' School.'
From the ages of 11-18 I attended an all girls' state grammar school. Over the past year, I've reflected a lot on how growing up in such a competitive and gendered environment has affected me.
This episode is for anyone socialised as a girl or woman who has never felt "good-enough." I hope it gives you reassurance, strength and comfort.
Topics include...
Competition and meritocracy
Self-worth and self-esteem
Gender roles and identity
Social class
Fitting in and popularity
People-pleasing
Friendship
Periods and the Menstrual Cycle

9: Losing a Loved One to Suicide with Ciara Duddy, Founder of Walk Lighter
In this episode, I welcome my first VERY special guest (and my friend) to the podcast - Ciara Duddy! Ciara is the founder of Walk Lighter, a support group for people who have been bereaved by suicide.
Ciara sadly lost her dad to suicide in 2021 and in struggling to find the right support after his death, she created Walk Lighter. Walk Lighter is an informal monthly support group meeting in Paisley (near Glasgow) at Barshaw Park. People are invited to grab a coffee and walk with those who are experiencing the same confusion, heartache and fears.
Ciara's journey and desire to help others has been a huge inspiration to me. Her honesty and warmth shine through in everything she does and we both share a strong belief in looking after your emotional health and healing through human connection. This conversation meant so much to me and I'm so excited to share it. I have no doubt that anyone who has been affected by suicide or grief will find comfort in Ciara's words.
Topics include...
Loss of a parent
Suicide
Mental Health
Grief
Navigating emotions
Healing and spirituality
Thank you so much to Ciara for sharing her story and making this episode possible. For more information on Walk Lighter, see the links below. There are more resources for anyone affected by the topics covered in this episode on the Walk Lighter website.
