The college basketball transfer portal window is officially closed, but there are still a bunch of excellent players looking for a new home. We look at the best at each position, starting with the guards and discussing former Kentucky point guard DJ Wagner, BYU's Jaxson Robinson, and Miami's Wooga Poplar.

The Kansas Jayhawks will not have former Florida guard Riley Kugel next season as he opts to reenter the transfer portal. How big of a loss is this for Bill Self's team, who already added multiple other guards in AJ Storr, Rylan Griffen, and Zeke Mayo? And where might Kugel end up now that it won't be in Lawrence?

Rick Pitino and Saint John's added a pair of dynamic, versatile guards from the transfer portal in Seton Hall's Kadary Richmond and Utah's Deivon Smith. Will the duo help the Red Storm get back into the NCAA Tournament, or does the team need more shooting in order to compete in the Big East?

Adou Thiero's final 5 teams in the transfer portal were Kentucky, Arkansas, North Carolina, Pittsburgh, and Indiana. Thiero took a surprise visit to Fayetteville last week and has subsequently committed to the Hogs. He becomes the second Wildcat from last season to follow John Calipari to Arkansas (Zvonimir Ivisic) plus three of the incoming 2024 freshmen (Boogie Fland, Billy Richmond, Karter Knox). What do the Hogs still need to add?

Miami transfer Norchad Omier joins Scott Drew and the Baylor Bears. Great news for the Bears who are now officially part of strong high end of the Big 12 for 2024-25.

Alabama & Nate Oats got great news early Sunday when Rutgers transfer Cliff Omoruyi committed to the Tide over North Carolina, Kansas St., and Georgetown. For Bama, are they now the SEC favorites...particularly if Mark Sears comes back? On the UNC side of things, the Tar Heels continue to search for Armando Bacot's replacement. Duke transfer Sean Stewart commits to Ohio State, continuing to help fill out new head coach Jake Diebler's first transfer class. The college basketball transfer portal window closed on May 1, and so far the Kansas Jayhawks are the big portal winners. They did not lose a single player to the portal and added tremendous talent like AJ Storr, Riley Kugel, Zeke Mayo, and Rylan Griffen. Other portal winners include Gonzaga, Michigan, and California.
