Powerful stories for every woman

Le’Nise has created a fabulous format for sharing information every woman should have access to with Period Story. By embracing the power of storytelling, Le’Nise engages with and educates others in a way that reminds us that a topic that’s still often considered taboo, is ultimately a very human story.

Through her warm approach and skilled interviewing style, Le’Nise has encouraged woman from all walks of life to share the story of their first period and what they’ve learnt about their body and her natural rhythms in the years since. Every story is unique and yet, each one leaves you with that distinct, “I’m not alone” feeling.

Period Story is an amazing way to learn not only about menstrual health, but also about each other. It also busts some myths and misconceptions and has certainly prompted me to have more conversations about both menstruation and menopause with my family and friends. Period Story is a compelling way to learn because you do so through other women’s experiences and the deep knowledge Le’Nise so willingly shares. A must-listen for every woman, no matter what your age or walk of life.

Review

This podcast normalises talking about menstrutation - which half the world experiences. Until recently, talking about periods and menopause and female hormones was taboo. Podcasts like this make this topic accessible and shares the huge diversity in experiences in learning about periods and the cycle.
