He’s a professional comic book writer whose credits include Marvel, DC, Image, Disney*Pixar, the Muppets & a lot more. He’s an English major, a music minor & a damn good broadcast journalist since the age of 19. Truly, you’ve never met a more humble taste-making mortal than this lovable muppet of a man. Coolest Pick: Gore Verbinski's "The Lone Ranger" (Non-Spoiler Recommendation!)
At the time of its release it received more press for its ballooning budget and the questionable casting of Johnny Depp as Tonto that by the time it actually released everyone just kinda skipped it. HOWEVER, the Coolest Geek Alive is HERE to CORRECT this grievous oversight! "The Lone Ranger" is close to a masterpiece in many regards, at the very least its a masterclass in directing, scoring, costuming, acting, character, morality, writing. It has a number of flaws if you break the fourth wall, but its crimes as a piece of art are very few and massively made up for by all of the incredible things it does RIGHT! Let Jesse Blaze Snider fill you in on another fucking awesome episode of the Coolest Geek...ALIVE!

COOLEST PICK - Andrew Stanton's "John Carter" (Spoiler FREE Movie Recommendation!)
This Saturday Jesse Blaze Snider digs into one of his favorite films of the past 15 years, Andrew Stanton's "John Carter", a film which was originally titled "John Carter of Mars" until "Mars Needs Moms" flopped and Disney's marketing PANICKED! It is a film that has been rewatched extensively by the Coolest Geek and one that he wishes to turn many others on to in the future so that there can be MORE of the film series, which is set up to continue so spectacularly by the end, that you too will lament the inaugural film's failure! Jesse gushes over all the lead actors and half the side characters and most just gushes about Andrew Stanton's incredible live-action directorial debut! Because no one else seems to be. Check it out!

GOJIRA: Coolest KAIJU Alive! (“Kong X Godzilla” to the One that started it ALL!)
Jesse Blaze Snider takes you on a fantastic voyage through the BEST that the long-running 35-strong (38 if you include the animated TRILOGY) franchise has to offer including the original classic “Gojira”, the silly but awesome first confrontation of “Kong vs. Godzilla”, Toho’s 1st in “universe” crossover with their other kanji sensation “Mothra Vs Godzilla”, the first big Avengers-style cross over in the excellent “Destroy All Monsters”, which features over ELEVEN different kanji, Godzilla vs Mechagodzilla I & II, the “RETURN” of Godzilla, versus Biollante, King Ghidorra, Destroya, he’s praise the end of their trilogy, “Godzilla Final Wars”, add praise to the first few outings of the Gareth Edward’s Monsterverse, lament having missed “Shin Godzilla”, heap some more praise on “Godzilla Minus One” and point your attention to perhaps the greatest kanji film of all time: “Godzilla, Mothra & King Ghidorra: All-Monsters Attack”! Oh, & he’ll talk a bit about the latest installment in the franchise, but we should warn you, when it comes to giant monster movies the Coolest Geek Alive is very forgiving.
