Practising strength and resilience in tough times - Tribute to Chadwick Boseman

Practising strength and resilience in tough times - Tribute to Chadwick Boseman

This is another bonus episode I recorded during my August break. I pay tribute to the life of Chadwick Boseman. A truly inspiring yet regular man who was committed to excellence , setting an example for Africans and people of colour everywhere with work ethic, his poise which shone through especially in his ground breaking performance as T’Challa in black panther . In this episode I share my reaction to his untimely demise, and how and why he inspires me, I also share excerpts from my new book , 40 lessons I learnt by 40. A book about lessons learned in my 30s included in the book are 40 powerful daily affirmations. If you are interested in being featured in season 2 and believe you have a good story please email me beverley@onyejianya.com. Twitter is @maxxyb .

BONUS episode - Exciting news to share

BONUS episode - Exciting news to share

Hello listeners yes I couldn’t even stay away until the start of season 2. I decided switch things up and make the format light until things kick off again. I have some great news to share firstly I am turning 40 in just 3 weeks and second I am writing a book to commemorate my coming of age called 40 Lessons I learnt by 40. I am really excited about it. The e book will touch on lessons I learned in my 30s covering lessons in life, relationships, business , parenting and faith. It’s an honest piece and I hope readers will enjoy it. It will be available for download from my social media pages. Additionally I plan to raise funds through the writing of this book for two charities doing a lot in the mentoring and training of youth space. In this episode I talk about the importance of writing personal stories. The world definitely needs more African and Black writers and authors for the sale of representation. Some of the books and authors I recommended in this podcast are Joys of Motherhood -Buchi Emecheta, Children Of blood and Bone - Tomi Adeyemi, Afro futurist novelist - Nnedi Okoroafor
