Season 5, Episode 2: Changes and Intentions

In this episode of your third favourite above average but infinitely curious podcast DIMED OUT…

I'm digging into isolation and detachment, earnest intentions, and significant changes.

Changes that I need to make for my own sake.

Changes that can help break me out of an insular way of life.

And changes that I find myself navigating, like a new job...in public radio.

Season 5, Episode 1: A Scrapbook of Sorts

Season 5, Episode 1: A Scrapbook of Sorts

TW: THIS EPISODE FOCUSES ON DIETING, BODY ISSUES AND MENTAL HEALTH.

It's about chuffing time! The 5th Season of your 3rd favourite above average but infinitely curious podcast, DIMED OUT, is finally here.

With all good intentions I tried to piece together an interesting, different, iteration of the show. One that was partly intended to help me let go of perfectionistic traits and cause less work...yet this one has probably been the most laborious. Having said that, at the end of the day, it is a labour of love.

In this first episode I dig into my original plans, their implosion, my failed (mostly) fitness journey, and the uncertain nature of what is to come.

    Season 4, Episode 16: Nasubi's Prize Life

    Season 4, Episode 16: Nasubi's Prize Life

Alright gang, in our season finale we’re asking “can a man live on completion prizes alone?”

The year is 1998. The place is Japan.

An aspiring comedian by the name of Nasubi auditions to be on Denpa Shonen’s new TV show with the hopes of breaking into showbiz.

Selected as the sole contestant, Nasubi is then taken to a small apartment, stripped naked and told that everything he needs to survive from this point on, must be won via magazine and radio contests.

Oh, and if that wasn’t traumatic enough, millions of people at home will be watching on a weekly basis.

Nasubi’s Prize Life is a story that is so ridiculous it shouldn’t be true. But it is.

It’s a story that is cruel, compelling, grotesque, puzzling, and psychologically fascinating.

A pretty fitting way to finish our fourth season then.

Season 4, Episode 15: Tim Doyle and the Golden Ones - Part 2

Season 4, Episode 15: Tim Doyle and the Golden Ones - Part 2

Alright gang, this week we’re concluding our two part conversation with Tim Doyle.

Not only are we getting a resolution to Tim’s encounter with the Angel of Death but Tim also digs into a variety of topics including the God frequency.

Shifting from a 3rd dimensional consciousness to a 5th level consciousness. Egyptian gods, arcturians and a prayer which allegedly removes fears and other emotional parasites from your being.

If any of this has tickled your brain and has left you wanting to dive deeper into this strange, yet undoubtedly curious rabbit hole, then you can learn more about Tim and the golden ones here.

Season 4, Episode 14: Tim Doyle and the Golden Ones - Part 1

Season 4, Episode 14: Tim Doyle and the Golden Ones - Part 1

Alright gang, this week in the first of a two part conversation, we’re talking to ordained metaphysical minister, reiki master, and conduit for the Golden Ones, Tim Doyle.

In a very unique conversation that took place at my mums dining room table, I spoke to Tim about a number of things.

His mission to spread the teachings of his celestial guides ‘The Golden Ones’.

His ayahuasca experiences in Peru. His encounter with the angel of death. How, why, and when, we allegedly choose to come to earth. Karma. Reincarnation. Free will vs Determinism and so much more. It really is quite the conversation, and this is only the first part.

Be sure to check out the concluding part next week.

A plethora of diverse and fun topics

I wasn’t sure what to expect when starting to listen to Dimed Out, aside from knowing that the way Mal spoke to us, his audience, would be utterly honest and humorous (from listening to previous podcast ramble on). I’m still never totally sure what one week to another will deliver, and that’s the beauty. Mal has introduced diverse topics that I never even knew I had an interest in, and delved into other people’s take on topics that I already have my own affinity with in a way that has opened my eyes and encouraged me to take a second look at.
Always entertaining, humble and even with the terrible pronunciations of place names informative. I’m looking forward to seeing what the future brings with this show...
