Circumambulate: Creativity is not a Linear Process
Creativity is not a linear process. It often begins without an endpoint in mind. It is fraught with wrong turnings and littered with 'failures', however, it is the journey which is key, and a really useful metaphor to help us when we feel like we are struggling creatively is that we are circumambulating our creative instincts, and this is a fundamental and necessary part of the process.
