Ep. 148: Recovery Stories, Part VIIII (Nervous System Regulation)
Staci B’s story is one of persistence, self-acceptance, and learning how to feel safe. We discuss nervous system regulation, which has been a big part of her healing journey—and something that anyone with a history of trauma or stressful experiences may want to explore further. Staci is a great example of someone who has overcome so much and is learning to trust herself and what she needs to continue to develop a peaceful relationship with food.

Ep. 145: Learning Moments (with Coach Julie)
The goal in recovery is to avoid binges, but that usually doesn’t happen 100 percent of the time as you are learning to eat normally and dismiss urges to binge. In this episode, Coach Julie and Kathryn talk about how to keep moving forward if you have a binge or multiple binges. If you treat any binge you have as a “learning moment,” you will be able to make necessary adjustments and gain confidence that you can fully let go of the habit.

Customer Reviews
Enlightening to say the least
I heard about the brain over binge book on another podcast and decided to buy it as I was lost in a sea of weight gain and diets. Until I read the book I didn’t realise I had a eating disorder, I’m 57. It was a total eye opener. Once I finished the book three weeks ago, a few things happened 1) I have not binged since 2) I feel full and content after a meal 3) I have stopped always thinking of food. I found the podcast and stared at the beginning to help reinforce what I have learnt. It’s great to remind me and push me forward with my new lifestyle. This should be prescribed by doctors surgeries.! Thanks you have helped me change my relationship with food.
Life changing
I honestly can’t tell you how lucky I feel to have stumbled across this. Within days my old reality changed. I was at one of my lowest points, binging twice a day, every day. My life was being effected. I blamed crazy work hours, covid & feeling lonely. Their view changed my view. Separate your difficulties in life from your binging- it makes so much sense! Also- the reasons why I relapse- I never thought I’d then like that before. Thoughts-v feelings. Lots of eureka moments. I hope it continues to help me. It’s also very compassionate & makes such a difference to know both suffered from it & have got through it.It will never go away but it can be managed successfully. Truly great woman who have changed my life! Thanks so much xx
Brilliant
I only found this podcast last night and felt instantly better. I felt like someone out there really understood me. I’m looking forward to listening to the rest of them.
