    • Arts

Hello people welcome to the when in Yorkshire Podcast is hope you’re all very well. Thank you to everyone who has again got in touch about episode 37 with Monique Powell of Save Ferris it’s genuinely appreciated so thanks for taking the time out of your busy day to get in touch. This episode ends our ska themed run of episodes which has featured Matt & Johnny who make two thirds of the brass section for reel big fish, Chris of Less Than Jake, Jet & Karl of Buster Shuffle and Monique of Save Ferris, my guest is Josh from London Ska band The Skints.
We met in Leeds whilst they were on tour with Buster Shuffle and The Interrupters.
This was a nice chat, Josh spoke about how music has always been a part of life, the different genres that have influenced him, life with the Skints, writing for their latest album Swimming Lessons, and all sorts of other little gems.
For anyone who hasn’t heard The Skints, they take the classic Ska sound and add their own Mark with samples and and a whole host of instruments, I mention it in the conversation but they are all fantastic musicians and they make the most of their skills.
