Fine.

Nice guys. Nice show. Although they need to get over the fact that humour in the 80s was a bit more risqué!!

Die hard Red Dwarf fans approach with caution

If you are new to Red Dwarf or have a passing interest in it then this podcast would be great for you. You can watch along with them and see if you agree with them and enjoy experiencing the show through new eyes.

If you are a massive Red Dwarf geek (like me) however, please note that neither of the hosts are familiar with the kind of details that might be found in the books or many many documentaries, as well as the special features on the DVDs and elsewhere. You will find yourself regularly exclaiming about them not getting what is going on or wishing that the more “expert” host would help the newbie to better understand the background of the show and the references within it.

Obviously the earlier seasons have somewhat dated references and the language would be considered problematic these days and it is good to discuss things like this but this podcast would benefit greatly from a bit of prior research on the part of the more expert host.

That said, I am enjoying hearing how their experience of the show is developing over time and I can’t wait to hear what they think of season 7 and 8 🤫
