Teachers and research - what’s not to like!

Linking research and practice in a really helpful way.

Of varying quality.

Some excellent episodes but some that are not evidence informed. As a school leader the interview with a fellow, who just happens to be an inclusive education consultant, which picked holes in the latest DfE advice on LGBT inclusion was concerning. The term “best practice” was used to describe advice that did not align with government guidance. This reflects how the debate over inclusion is politically polarised and more considered discourse must be had in forums such as a podcast that claims to be evidence informed. I respect the experience of the contributor as a form of evidence, however little consideration was given to the competing gender critical views which were reflected in the government guidance. Schools need support to ensure their practice stays within current regulation and guidance, not opinion masquerading as “best practice” whatever the personal beliefs of the contributor.

Brilliant!

Love these - great way to engage and fantastic content. Thank you Chartered College of Teaching and TeacherTapp
