The Fat Tony Show

I’ve just listened to the Val Garland interview where it seemed that the voice Fat Tony was most interested in hearing was his own.

His questions were like monologues and his constant need to share his own opinions and views left little space for the interviewee to tell her story.

Fat Tony’s book is titled “I Don’t Take Requests” so I’m sure he’ll ignore my request to speak less and give the the interviewee the time and opportunity to speak. We learnt little about Val and the musical choices which have informed her life as so much of the running time was taken up by a host in love with the sound of his own voice.

The concept of fashion and music is a great one, one unfortunately spoilt by a host too interested in sharing a spotlight that should have been the preserve of the guest.

Fantastic listening

Im listening avidly and at the same time trying to find the tracks talked about as the guests are really passionate about their choices . I love this pod cast and hope it goes on for ever … Fat Tony does talk alot but only because he is extremely knowledgeable about music and not shy about letting us know when something is new to him.
Great stuff. Love it , love his book and well done

Loved listening to her. It’s my first episode listening to the podcast. But I did find that she was talking extra quickly to stop Tony from butting in too much 😄 looking forward to listening to the others!
