Now if you are a regular listener of our podcast you will know that we both absolutely LOVE a cup of tea, so we could not pass up this chance to chat with, not just another tea lover but tea scientist Bethan Thomas.Bethan is a renowned tea expert, with over 18 years commercial experience blending and buying tea for the UK's most prestigious tea companies before establishing her own successful brand, Hottea Mama, which is how we met her- Bethan kindly catered for all our tea requirements on our More than a Menopause retreat.After graduating from Oxford University with a masters in Chinese Studies, Bethan was the first non-Chinese national to gain a degree in Tea Science from the University of Agriculture and Forestry in Fujian, giving her a unique knowledge of the bio-chemistry of tea, production methods, blending techniques and tea culture.  Bethan tells us where her love of tea began and we find out the differences between different types of tea and most importantly their varying benefits for Women’s health from periods to menopause.
