Best series podcast so far
I quite often listen to the podcasts that accompany the more complex and well written TV series, Westworld, Foundation, 3 Body Problem etc (all great podcasts) but this one, in my view is by the far the best I’ve listened to. Firstly at around the half hour mark it’s a good length. Secondly, it packs a lot into that time, key scenes from the show, interviews with actors and or production staff and some fantastic historical and social background to the story and events. The series is so much richer for the podcast.
Doubly sad it’s over!
I so, so enjoyed listening to this excellent podcast. It really made me appreciate even more the care and craft that went into making what has fast become one of my favourite TV shows of all time. It was beautifully hosted, the range of guests and insights was perfect, and I learned so much about Japanese history and culture at the same time. I was just as devastated when I finished the podcast and when I finished the series! If you enjoyed Shogun, don’t miss this. It made me want to rewatch it all straight away. Congrats to everyone involved and thank you for giving this beautiful art to the world!
Perfect complement of the show.
After watching the series and realising there is a podcast, I listened to the first podcast episode and decided to watch the series again with the podcast. Its a perfect complements of the show.
