In each episode, Rik interviews someone from the games industry or for whom games have played a significant role in his, her or their life. They also reveal the five games that have meant the most to them - not just the best games, but the most important for whatever reason.

Dominik Diamond
GamesLifer is back with the biggest episode yet. Not only is it a double-sized edition, but Rik finally reunites with the original host of GamesMaster, Dominik Diamond, after nigh-on 25 years.
You could subtitle it Rik and Dom in Da Bungalow, if you were a bit sad.
The TV gaming legend gives us his five most meaningful games and so much more, as the old friends reminisce about the show, the 90s in general and, yes, THAT Christmas special. Plus, Dominik gives us his opinion and stance on the GamesMaster reboot.

Guy also reveals the five games that have meant the most to him in his lifetime so far.

But does he really like Lycra?!
I feel privileged to have been a teenager in the 90s. Every Thursday I’d race home from school, get my homework and dinner out of the way and sit down for my highlight of the week - 30 mins of Games Master on Ch4.
There’s many events from that show that I still remember fondly today… particularly Rik and Dominik Diamond commentating on the “We’re Althletic, We Love Lycra” challenge. Amusingly, every time Dom mentioned it, the title changed slightly.
Fast forward 25+ years and I find this podcast, more accurately the one where Rik interviews Dominik Diamond. I don’t think I’ve ever laughed so hard listening to a podcast! Folk were crossing the road to avoid me, as I was walking along chuckling away to myself.
The only way this could’ve been better is the inclusion of Kirk Ewing. Perhaps Rik will interview him some day? Perhaps we’ll see a reunion with the three legends? Maybe together they can track down Derrick Lynch and restore balance in the universe?!
Anyway, thank you Rik. Your podcast is brilliant, I’ve enjoyed every episode so far and look forward to more. I thoroughly recommend ever gamer listens to this show!

Good pod cast rik. Hope you keep them going. Love hearing the old gamesmaster/games world stuff. Takes me right back to those care free days. Hopefully you get dave and Dom on at some point. 👍🏻✌🏻
