Going Viral, the Strangest of Things The Dick Effect

    • Society & Culture

In this episode, Abigail unpacks what it's like to go viral. A video on her science-themed TikTok blew up, clocking up 1 million in less than a week.
We talk about how misinformation is amplified by the algorithm on social media, whereas factual content is left drifting far behind.
We also dip into the conspiracy theory that pushed her to make the viraltok. Spoiler alert... It's CERN and how they've opened portals to different dimensions. Double spoiler alert, CERN haven't done that!
We will also take a break over the Summer to research some dickish things to come back with a new format for the Dick Effect! We feel that often when we cover a topic, there is much we have to miss out on due to time constraints, So we will come back with a series with more guests who will help us to explore the dickish things in society.
Big love. And we will be back soon.
