It’s important to make sure that we don’t learn the wrong lessons from pain, frustration, criticism, or failure. Like a cat, we want to learn not to sit on a hot stove—but maybe we still want to be able to sit on a stove that’s cold.

Practical and positive podcast

Lots of small tips and tricks from these 2 sisters delivered in a lovely chatty and accessible way. I love that they really understand and acknowledge that different tips will work for different types of people. Always an uplifting listen in these difficult times, thank you both

A lovely inspiring weekly treat

I’ve been reading and re-reading Gretchen’s books for years having stumbled on one in a public library and have got lots of great ideas from them. I also loved the page a day calendar “A happier 2018” and hope that there will be another one soon. The books are great for travelling too - those times (in the pre pandemic life) when a change of scenery helps you reflect on your life and changes you want to make. I only discovered the podcasts in lockdown and they have been a joy! Like a cosy weekly chat with good friends and I always come away with good ideas to try. What I really like is that Gretchen and Elizabeth come across as so human and honest - not setting themselves up to preach but able to talk about their lives and what they’ve messed up or struggle with. I also like the regular slots - and the interviews. The one with Ann Patchett was really insightful and I listened to it twice and have recommended it to so many friends!

Thank you!
