Love this
One of my favourite podcasts.
Hope you keep making them and also the shorts as my 8 year old son loves them too!
Heartwarming podcasting goodness
I’ve been listening for years from the UK off the back of a recommendation from my US family, and just finished the last of the current batch.
The show is super interesting and often reaffirms your faith in humanity. I have everything crossed that you find a new home, but if not then massive thanks to Jonathan and the gang on this series
“We have an obligation to our listeners…”
I was introduced to heavyweight by a friend back in 2016 and would religiously wait for another episode to drop. Then out of nowhere, the podcasts stopped and I waited and waited and nothing. I unfollowed, went about my day, found other podcasts. However, this week I found heavyweight again and soon realised the reason for the disappearance was $$$ as they had sold their soul to the devil and moved to another platform (the same time as Joe Rogan who sold his soul for mega bucks.) I was confused as to why heavyweight was back here, the lowly platform that made him, you know because of us, the listeners who stuck by him. I guess things didn’t work out on the other platform. whatever, I’ll listen to the 3 seasons that I didn’t have access to because he had no obligation to his listeners, he just wanted to make the big bucks like Joe. It’s not the same, this pod has lost all it’s appeal and I now just find it insufferable listening and can’t help but think Jonathan et al are sitting there smelling their own pretentious farts. “We have an obligation to our listeners” Jonathan says on this platform after he has been ousted from spotify. Ha. sellout.
