Welcome to Hit The Wall. A weekly(ish) podcast about running, hosted by sort-of runner Stuart and his non-running sort-of-supporting wife Aimee. Each show will focus on trying to motivate Stuart to train for his first ever marathon in May 2024, while they also chew the fat on life as parents to two children. If you're looking to learn some new running tips from this podcast, then this is not for you. If you're looking for some light relief or something to listen to while you also try and run, then stick this in your ears and enjoy the nonsense.

R.I.P Stephen Gately
We are back, FINALLY! Episode 25 is here and with just over two weeks to the big marathon, Stuart has a huge problem. And it's not just that he's lost a cable for one of the mics, so he has to share with Aimee (hence why Aimee is quieter!). A big decision has to be made, but after all that chat, it turns to summer plans and gala days.

Nice Groin Again
We're back! We haven't really been away, but we're BACK with episode 24 of Hit The Wall! If you thought last week's was dark, wait til you see where this episode takes us! We talk Stuart's half marathon run which he's doing on the day of the episode release (keep an eye on the Hit The Wall Instagram page), then we chat horse racing and choose our picks for the Grand National, then....we talk about the apocalypse. And it gets dark. But then we end with a light hearted chat about Disprin. It's one of the weirder ones, but at least there's a few lolz this week!! Enjoy.

I've Got Quite A Round Head (Bonus Episode ft. Bailey the Rabbit)
Very short episode this week. Just Stuart giving a very honest take on his last 2 runs and his reasons for actually wanting to complete the marathon. Very quick and very personal one this. And Bailey has his say on Catgate. Had to throw that last bit in there. But apart from that, it's quite a serious one.

Episode 23!!! And Aimee's back!!!! And we have a cat.....join us this week as we chat an eventful week, we try and find a home for a cat, we chat Stuart's longest run yet* and the plans for the rest of the marathon training. In between that we go all nostalgic on music players, then cover the WORST "Am I The Arsehole?" ever, then Stuart aims a rant at a national treasure. It's quite a good one.
* so there's a couple of weird edit points in this episode that'll sound weird during the conversation about Stuart's running distances. He got 18k and 33k mixed u a few times, so the correct distances have had to be quickly edited in! Just letting you know as it'll sound REALLY obvious!!

Colin Firth's Outside In A Campervan
Hello! Episode 22 of Hit The Wall is here. Just Stuart this week and it's a short one. Mainly because as the title explains, Hollywood is outside and Stuart struggles to concentrate. He then talks living on a film set, planning the biggest run yet and gets honest and blunt about the future of the podcast. It's not vintage Hit The Wall, but that's because Colin Firth's sitting in a campervan just outside the house.
