How To Reflect Effectively as a Coach The Coaching Crowd® Podcast with Jo Wheatley & Zoe Hawkins

    • Careers

This week's episode was requested by a member of our Coaching Crowd group and also links to the core coaching competency around understanding self and others. We are delighted to talk about the importance of reflection as a coach and how it can be done effectively.

We discuss:
what reflective practice actually is how your reflective practice might change from training to when you are actively coaching the questions you can ask yourself to be reflective the different types of reflection and which lens you use to look through how to form a reflective practice and routing how reflection can be seen as a chore but it can also be deeply enriching how reflection is not just about noticing gaps but also about celebration where and what spaces you can use to reflect within how to develop a reflective practice that suspends self judgement
Reflection is the unsung hero of coaching and plays a part in being a great coach. It is important to remember that it is a skill that needs to be developed so have fun with this, be patient and stay curious.
