Need to read up on Child Development before giving advice

I listened to the “how to stay calm around children” episode and am concerned about the advice given. For babies and children to grow up as well rounded, secure individuals they need parents who are perceptive and attend to their needs- it’s outdated and dangerous to give advice about not picking them up or not letting them in your bed when they want a cuddle (instead “threatening” a cold hard floor). Children do not become manipulative adults by having attentive parents!! Please read up on the evidence before dishing out advice- or indeed, stay in your professional lane.
