I wrote a review for your podcast when it first started and decided it was about time for another, your podcast has become a special part of my life it’s something I look forward to and both my kids know the jingle by heart. To begin with it was a great ear worm when working or doing house work but after your “what’s stopping you” episode it really hit home to me how much I needed to hear what you were talking about.
I wasn’t ready then to make the changes I needed to make but your weekly podcast was something that did stick, then after a year when I was ready “What’s stopping you” and “What’s still stopping you” were added to a special playlist and along with your weekly upload I listened to them multiple times.
Your words gave me the courage I needed and the drive when things got hard and I needed that little kick it got me through the hard days and the times when I really just wondered why? It’s got me past the starting point with my first step of asking for help (I have medical issues) and my second step of pushing myself into taking part in a 22mile swimming challenge!
Your podcast then became my go too swimming companion, I will pop it on my waterproof headphones get in the pool and simply swim for the entire show (a few times I will admit it’s almost killed me when I unexpectedly laugh and take in water 🤣) but you were there with me and it helped. Today I have listened to your latest cast “Self improvement overload.” and I knew exactly what you were saying and how it felt so wanted to tell you my steps.
It’s not been easy I’ve lost just over 5st in weight and tomorrow all going to plan I will swim the final 0.26mile to complete my 22mile swim and I know when I do I will be going back to that first time I felt like something really needed to change and listen to “What’s stopping you” and be happily able to answer “Not me anymore.”
