IMPOSTER SYNDROME PRASH K & CAROLE Urban Spirituality

    • Health & Fitness

There is a little voice inside your head.

It's self-doubt, and it's holding you back from reaching your full potential.

It talks to you and makes you believe that soon everyone else will find out the truth.

That you are a fraud.

Does this sound familiar?

I'm talking about the infamous "imposter syndrome"

Imposter syndrome is defined as a collection of feelings of inadequacy that persist despite evidence of success.

It is commonly experienced by high achievers who are unable to internalise and accept their successes.

The voice of self-doubt tells you that you are not good enough, that you have only been lucky or that others have just been too kind.

This can be extremely debilitating and it's something that I have been really wanting to talk in the show for a long time.

Because I myself have experienced it and I know how much it can hold you back.

You're not alone. We all have self-doubt, but some of us are more prone to this condition.

If you're a perfectionist, if you're highly self-critical, or if you have a lot of self-imposed pressure to succeed, then you might be more likely to experience imposter syndrome.

So how can you deal with it?

The first step is recognising that you have it.

Awareness is key.

If you're somebody who experiences imposter syndrome, This is the episode for you.

Tune in as Carole and I discuss the imposter syndrome and how to conquer it.

If you're struggling with self-doubt, this is a must-listen!
