Gets me through studying

Honestly I don’t think I’d survive my A Levels if I didn’t have Jimi and Tommy to keep me company during long study sessions! They’re entertaining and there’s just something relaxing about listening to them debate musical theatre

Like musicals? Listen to this!

Just discovered this podcast and I love it! If you like musicals its a great way to develop your interest because the hosts are entertaining, well informed and clearly very passionate. Brings to light issues in musical theatre, eg racism in casting etc, which makes you think
My only question is... will we be getting any more?

One, singular sensation, every happy hour they make!

After discovering this podcast, I listened to the entire back catalogue because there’s nothing else out there like it. I love learning about musicals I’ve never heard of and I’ve really enjoyed discovering new things about the ones I know by heart. This isn’t just a fan podcast, though the hosts are definitely musical theatre fans - it’s much more like a seminar discussing the content, context and impact of the musical theatre. Discussions have ranged through disability, access to musical theatre in schools, race relations and more. As a singing teacher, I have encouraged my students to listen to the show to expand and deepen their study of musical theatre.

Of course, they’ve also produced the funniest podcast episode ever. I won’t give it away, but make sure you listen to their first Unsung Heroes. You’ll die laughing.

As an added bonus, it turns out I’ve seen a few of Jimmi’s productions in the Edinburgh Fringe, and I’d say he’s got a good future in musicals ahead of him.
