The journey from corporate-land to running multiple businesses The Enterprise Doctor Business Show

    • Entrepreneurship

My guest today is Alex Glass.  Rather than telling you the name of his business, I’ll tell you that he runs multiple businesses, and that’s really what we talk about in the show – his journey from significant positions in the world of corporates to his current range of business interests.
We first explore that corporate world a little, before talking about the business and personal influences on his decision to change what he did and how he did it.
Enrolling at the London Business School was an interesting thing for a successful business man to do, and we talk about why that happened, and what the benefits were for a man who had never run a business before.
Their property business is the next topic of conversation, followed by the midwifery practice, the “aparthotel” and their latest venture as a franchisee for easyStorage, which leads us neatly to a conversation about the pros & cons of different franchise opportunities.
We conclude with some words of advice for those looking at a fresh start are then forthcoming, which do include more about the benefits of being a franchisee.
