The Commission on Human Rights and Administrative Justic (CHRAJ) formally commences investigations into the planned sale of 60% shares of SSNIT hotels to Rock City Hotel.

The Ghana Federation of Labour says the Social Security and National Insurance Trust (SSNIT) is proceeding with talks to sell its stake in four hotels to Rock City Hotel owned by Minister of Agriculture, Bryan Acheampong, despite a petition before the Commission on Human Rights and Administrative Justice (CHRAJ).

Organised labour unites with minority in parliament to demonstrate against the sale of 60% of SSNIT owned hotels to Rock City Hotel.

The former President John Dramani Mahama criticized President Nana Akuffo Addo’s administration, accusing it of prioritizing revenue generation while neglecting efforts to decrease government spending.
