A glorious Californian Summer.  An oddly designed hotel; the Colonial Palace that resembled the tiers of a huge cake covered in pink icing.  And inside Ivan - our unsuspecting hero, about to meet the love of his life and to find that love like life can have moments of great joy.  But sometimes love doesn't conquer all; sometimes it can destroy.

Ever wondered what it would be like to travel back to your 'happy' childhood days?  Just for a few days to experience life again in the early 60s.  To see your younger self, your family, the neighbourhood, all those characters from way back when.  But remember the golden rule - never try to change anything in the past or you might find the past coming back to haunt you.

Not long before he died I found my Grandfather's diary of his time in the war.  There was a section about the retreat to Dunkirk.  It was harrowing reading.  A 100 mile trek that sounded like a walk through hell.  But I was intrigued by Michael who Grandfather said had kept their spirits up; had seen them through the nightmare.  Shortly after he died I decided to fulfil his last wish: to visit Michael's grave ato say thank you.  I found the grave but I also found a lot more than I'd bargained for.

Could a tiny shift in time make a huge shift in reality, and would the world two space travellers were returning to be the same?
