National Treasures Deep Dive: Crisp Flavours

National Treasures Deep Dive: Crisp Flavours

We asked you to vote, and you did. So Will tells Laura all about Crisp Flavours, both at home and abroad. I'll be honest, it's a lot better than it sounds. Though we do end up saying the word 'allium' just far too much.
    Enjoy!!

National Treasures Chats To: Nick Page

National Treasures Chats To: Nick Page

Last week we had a simply tremendous walk around the Sculpture Trail in the Forest of Dean and this week we bumble a few miles further down the road to visit Nick Page and ask him why he loves it there. It's always an amazing time being in Nick's company; whether that's because he's your buddy and you get to chat to him a lot (Laura), he's an acquaintance whose company you love (Will) or you're an audience member enthralled by his tales of hijinks (maybe you in the future?).
Nick tells us all about his life on the road, weird stories of niche jobs and then what it was like being a car salesman in the 90s. It's a lovely, human, at home chat... just what we love bringing you from the National Treasures Podcast.
Oh, and do check out Nick's wife Alice's art. She's a proper good artist... so good that Laura has bought three of her paintings. Now that's an endorsement!

National Treasures Goes To: The Forest of Dean Sculpture Trail

National Treasures Goes To: The Forest of Dean Sculpture Trail

November. Newvember. New subject?! Let's go!
This month is all about The Forest of Dean Sculpture Trail and comedian Nick Page... what a top legend he is. He asked to come all the way to Gloucester for a lovely, peaceful walk around the Forest of Dean Sculpture Trail and the jaunt to visit him for a chat. He also fed us focaccia which makes him our favourite guest we've had so far. No offence everyone else, but actually some offence, where was our damn bread, eh?
We had a peaceful walk through the trees looking at the art, wondering if it was art, wondering why the dog was sulking and generally having the good old chit chat of two friends. It's everything you'd hope and more.
For the full episode, including longer versions of all our previous episodes plus our bonus podcast Years & Years, go to our patreon here: https://www.patreon.com/nationaltreasures
Nick Page will be our guest next week, we will be chatting car sales, how the 90s was just better and easier, and why he loves that sculpture trail.

    Deep Dive On: Taxidermy

We simply cannot apologise enough for the lateness of this episode but we do hope you enjoy it now it has arrived! Will has worked mega hard this week to research as much taxidermy as possible and stuff it into an episode for you to enjoy.
We look at the history, the developments, the brilliance and the macabre. Enjoy!

Charm minus smarm

This is a lovely, uplifting podcast by two comedians with brilliant chemistry. Laura’s jolly chuckling at Will’s heartfelt grumbling just never gets boring. It’s refreshing to hear authentic audio that isn’t over-edited or over-produced too.

It is also shedding light on various bits of Britain and its history that I don’t know much about.

As a bonus, I’ve discovered other comedians and podcasts through the interactions with their guests!

Laura Lexx + William Duggan =best podcast ever!

I find this podcast funny to listen to and love to hear them laugh and tell jokes together.

Gentle, Funny and Thoroughly Enjoyable

There’s really nothing not to like about this. Laura and Will work brilliantly together, their humour is a delight and the whole thing is overwhelmingly positive which makes a nice change these days.

If you like the Mortimer & Whitehouse fishing show, this should be right up your street
