    Anglesey/Ynys Mon with Kiri Pritchard-Mclean

    Anglesey/Ynys Mon with Kiri Pritchard-Mclean

This week Laura and Will were invited to Anglesey to sample all that the phenomenal island off the North West coast has to offer. They see a Bronze Age standing stone, a museum dedicated to traditional Welsh life, they have a paddle, Will befriends a dog (sort of) and they visit Church Island: a small island full of graves with an incredible view of the Menai Strait. After all that, they head off for a pint with Kiri to discuss just why she's so in love with the island. If you enjoy the episode, check out our patreon page for an extended version with a full 20 more minutes of content from our day out and chat with Kiri. Just go to patreon.com/nationaltreasures

    Mid Season Years & Years!

It's called Years & Years and each week they choose a year at random and one researches it just about well enough to badly explain it to the other one. We thought, as we're just a little way over halfway through series 2, that we'd give you another little taster and if you like it, why not get an episode of it every single week into your ears? Just head to patreon.com/nationaltreasures and sign up to the Rambler tier!

    Mother Shipton's Cave

    Mother Shipton's Cave

Many many months ago, in our spin off podcast Years & Years (check out patreon.com/nationaltreasures for details) we investigated the year 1488 and came across the birth of Mother Shipton. A prophetess born in a cave in the mid 15th century... it seemed only right, therefore, that we jump in the car and wend ut way to Knaresborough to give the cave a visit.

HannahJBG ,

National Treasures indeed

This is such a funny, light-hearted listen. Will and Laura are hilarious, as are their interactions with the kindly/villainous volunteers at the sites they visit. An absolute joy to have discovered in lockdown!
