Most accessible guide to classical music
Great listen, but having the recommendation in writing on the page or the website would make it easier to follow up. Possible?
Record review - essential listening
I remember it started out as Record Review, then became CD Review to return to being Record Review. I find it essential listening, even if I don’t always agree with the conclusions. I’ve only docked a star because I’m still not sure about the two presenter format; I think I preferred the single reviewer format which felt more in depth, less rushed, even if timing wise it’s no different. I’m sure a lot of radio three listeners like it the way it is and it’s still the best go to radio programme guide for lovers of classical, world and related music recordings.
Such a gem
From Building a Library to, now, Record Review, this has always been a pleasurable and engrossing education. A wide span of recordings are covered, some quite historic. A real treasure for the ear.
